ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN KOBE JAPAN

Hello! My name is Cliff. I am the owner and Lead Instructor of Rokko Island Kobe Test Prep Center. I will keep my intro a bit casual in tone, so I can be more personable to my readers.

I was born and raised in America, attended Harvard-Westlake School from 7th to 12th grade, and graduated from Claremont McKenna College. For those looking to attend university in America, I've been through every grueling step that you are going through, and I understand your pain! I started teaching SAT as a part time job right out of college, and little did I know that it would stay with me for the next quarter century! I've seen every iteration of the SAT over that time. I've met a wide, variety of learners and I bring many years of teaching experience (I was once a middle school teacher and sports coach many, many moons ago!). 

Being part Japanese, I have always felt that Japan woould be a wonderful place to raise my kids, so I moved my family here in July of 2024. Rokko Island has been amazing to us. And now it's time that I start giving back to the community here and anyone else who wants to learn! I have two sons who are both currently attending Canadian Academy. Watching them grow and imaging that they will soon take the first steps of college prep as I did is an incredible feeling! I hope to guide many international students on their next step in higher education should their paths go through America, just as I would with my own children!
